  • Great compilation

In my opinion, this is one of the greatest Lynyrd Skynyrd compilations out there. It contains demos, live tracks, and their famous studio recordings. Great, great album, and I highly recommend it. The only thing it is lacking is the studio version of "Simple Man", but it does contain a live version. But overall, a GREAT compilation!
  • Must have for collectors

The Demo's are worth it alone.

I have the box set and i love it. I have bought it twice, first one was stolen. This box set is the definitive collection of songs. 29 dollars is a great price. But as the others have written by it from the store so you can have the book that comes with the box set.
  • This is one box set that gets it RIGHT!

As a greatest hits compilation or a career overview, this box set really does the job. This is the third skynyrd album I ever purchased, and it's the only one I really need. Great for those wanting to learn about Skynyrd or for the long-time fan. As the itunes reviewer noted, the first disc contains mostly unrealeased demo and original versions of classic skynyrd, really the incentive for the hardcore fans, but the other two discs provide essential tracks that any fan of Skynyrd, southern rock, classic rock, or really everyone should have.. In addition to the music, the book that comes with it does an excellent job of detailing the groups history, and is necessary for newbies to read. Buy this from the store though, so you have a hard copy of the book. GET IT!

There is only one question you have to ask yourself, which Skynyrd album would Ronnie buy? Answer: This one. The book is great, the research is top knotch, I've done my own as well. If you consider yourself a Skynyrd fan you should strongly consider this set. Five minutes into reading the extensive liner notes while "Junkie" plays in the background the $29.99 will fade into memory and you'll have years of great and rare tunes to enjoy. Rumbly submitted :-)
